| Our commitment to the Environment |
CPS sets it’s priority high regarding safety, health and well being of the firm’s employees. Continuous work is being done to improve these areas via workplace assessments and analysis of the well-being of the employees.
The research and development department intends to minimise the usage of substances which are harmful to humans as well as to the environment by directing development towards less harmful alternatives and substitution in a collaborative effort between the customers and suppliers.
The development of semiautomatic wash units will reduce manual work for screen cleaning operatives and to some degree enable the re-use of cleaning fluids to the benefit of the environment.
Through education and information, CPS will ensure that all employees are aware of their responsibility towards the environment, health and safety and that they adhere to the appropriate guidelines.
Through an open dialogue with customers, co-operators and the authorities, CPS will work towards common optimal environmental and health and safety solutions. As a minimum this means that CPS will obey all rules and conditions designated by the company or agreed to with the authorities.
CPS has an environmental management system which has been certified according to the ISO 14001 standard since 1999. In 2003, health and safety were included in the certification. In 2005 the CPS Health and safety management System was certified in accordance with OHSAS 18001. CPS wishes to maintain both these certifications and further, live up to the demands of a health and safety certificate. In short the CPS’ environment, health and safety strategy is: “CPS wishes to deliver total solutions to all kinds of companies that use printing techniques with the best possible considerations to the environment, health and safety.
